Croatia travel blog by the FerieHome team
Welcome to the FerieHome blog, written by our small team based in Tugare, a village in the hills just above Omiš in central Dalmatia. We spend our days visiting the holiday villas we manage, talking to owners and greeting guests, so the articles here come from the same roads, beaches and villages we drive through every week rather than from a press release.
You will find three kinds of stories. Destination guides explain where to stay along the coast between Split, Trogir and the Makarska Riviera, what the islands of Brač and Šolta feel like out of season, and why the Imotski hinterland with its two lakes is worth the short drive inland. Seasonal advice covers the practical side of a Croatian holiday: when the sea is warm enough to swim, which months are quiet enough for a private pool villa at a lower price, and what to expect in October or over Easter. Finally, we announce new villas as they join our collection, with honest notes on who each house suits, whether that is a large family, a group of friends or a couple looking for a secluded sea view.
Every villa on FerieHome is inspected in person before it is listed, and the same care goes into the guides. Distances, ferry times and opening hours are checked before publishing and updated when they change. If an article helps you shortlist a region, the villa pages linked from it show live availability and prices, and you can book directly online with instant confirmation and our best-price guarantee.
