The Captain`s House

We stayed at Captain`s House for ten days, it was just perfect for us (4 persons). The house is delightfully furnished and gives a very cozy atmosphere. The garden with the heated pool is very well maintained and we spent a lot of time there. The surroundings are very peaceful and the view is magnificent. In the vicinity there are also very nice and good restaurants, which we got recommended by Nikolina, our host from the agency. Everything went very well from the booking to the vacation and Nikolina took great care of us. We will surely come again.

We have had a wonderful stay at The Captains house , spacious , beautiful views , lovely heated swimming pool with lots of seating areas : we particularly enjoyed the upstairs balcony for our pre dinner drinks and enjoyed the covered area for our breakfasts ! We highly recommend going to Konoba Palacio in Naklice & Berito in Gata for your evening meals … we loved both . Nikolina was excellent with her communication , meeting us on arrival and giving us lots of helpful information . Thank you for a lovely holiday .

The Captain's House is perched high up on the mountain a few kilometres from Omis, at the end of a gravel road. It is peaceful with a fantastic view over the mountains with an old fortress, the sea and across to a couple of the Dalmatian islands. The pool is perfect for getting out of the sun, and there are a couple of terraces to sit and read, eat and play cards. There was even a friendly tortoise in the garden. The house itself has plenty of space, air connection, and wifi (although this doesn't reach all over the house). There is a smallish kitchen, but it is well-equipped. The air con worked wonderfully, for which we were very grateful. Nikolina, the contact person could not have been more helpful and really went the extra mile. As the day we were arriving was a national holiday with the shops shut, she contacted us and offered to get some shopping in for us for when we got there. When the supermarkets had run out of bread, she baked some herself. She was so helpful throughout, warning us about another national holiday. Great location, but you need a car, preferably one with some oomph to get up the mountain roads. We would definitely consider coming back.

We loved our stay at The Captain’s House. Nikolina was a superb host and gave us lots of info about the local area and was always prompt and helpful in answering our questions. The Villa is so comfortable with plenty of room - two good living rooms, two balconies/terraces and awesome views over the pool. We found some great restaurants within 3km in Naklice, Gata and Tugare - much better than the tourist traps in Omis. Our only wish is that we’d stayed longer!

The property was very nice, everything from the listing and more! The location was a short drive from Omis, sandy beaches, restaurants, and markets. The property manager was extremely helpful and very kind. The views were amazing. Every time we visit Croatia we never want to leave - beautiful country!

Great location with great views. Very comfortable house - very well equipped with everything you need to make a super holiday. Nikolina greeted us and showed us around and was available at any time if we had a problem. Thank you - we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Captain's House.

Heartwarming and very friendly service from the agency with good recommendations on both activities and restaurants. Fantastic story Reading about the Captains House. But we found Capatins Corner too! Imagine lying on your sunbed viewing the landscape, in the shade of the mountain pine while your feet cool in the pool - We will definitely come back to this cozy and homely place one day!

We spent lovely 10 days in Captain's House. Everything we needed was there. A great place to explore the Dalmatian coast around Omis, Split and the near by islands.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen in der 2. Maihälfte im Captain´s house. Alle waren mit dem Aufenthalt super zufrieden, die Sauberkeit und Ausstattung des Hauses ließ keine Wünsche offen. Vom Sparschäler bis zu verschiedenen Auflaufformen war alles vorhanden, und der Pool mit Meerblick war toll. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Split, Trogir und die Makarska-Riviera war die Lage perfekt , und Omis war in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Nochmal unser Dank an Nikolina, die immer für uns da war.

Beautiful house with a wonderfull view! The sun the whole day from sunrise till sunset. Very pleasant was also the welcome package. Nikolina was very gentle and very helpfull. So everything was perfect!

We spent the last 2 weeks of September in this lovely house and where I celebrated my 80th birthday with my family. The house is very spacious, of somewhat “quirky” layout. Though we were only four, nonetheless with a garden and pool, a separate furnished patio with BBQ and a large covered terrace not to mention 2 living rooms, there's plenty of room for the maximum number of people. But the biggest bonus for us was the location looking over country side towards the island of Brac. I never tired of it and miss it now we're back in a bricks and mortar environment. Another big bonus was Nikolina our hostess / manager who was so friendly and helpful and thoughtful. We went to a very nice restaurant in Naklice, recommended by Nikolina, for my birthday dinner and where I was presented with the most beautiful birthday cake made by Nikolina and her Mum. It was delicious and greatly appreciated by everyone but especially me. Omis was just a 10 minutes drive away down a steep winding road with beautiful scenery and was just the thing with supermarkets, shops and restaurants galore. This was a holiday to remember for all the right reasons.

This villa really does deserve all its 5-star reviews, and we couldn't have chosen a better property to stay in for our first visit to Croatia. It's hard to think of any more superlatives - they've all been used by previous guests! The villa is set on the mountainside and has amazing views across to the island of Brac as well as the fortresses of Omis and the Cetina gorge. It is obviously a much-loved family holiday home, and is extremely comfortable, absolutely spotless and with everything guests may need. Right from our initial inquiry through to finalizing the last-minute details and recommending car hire, Mirjana was so helpful and efficient that we knew we were going to have a very special holiday. Nikolina was there to greet us when we arrived with some lovely provisions and such enthusiasm for the property and the local area. She really couldn't do enough for us throughout the holiday, and we really appreciated all her help - she's fab! We would love to make a return visit to Croatia, and wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Captain's House again.

We were in the house with six adults and two small children. The house is very well maintained and the view of the sea and the mountains is simply fantastic. The kids love the heated pool. The room layout in the house allows for privacy even with larger tour groups. The service from Miranja and Nikolina was very good. Every question was answered quickly. We can very well imagine coming back. Thanks for the nice time!

We were in the house for the first week and can really only report positive things: -House -> as described in the ad, TOP !!! -Pool -> heated, TOP !!! -View-> UNIQUE & OUTSTANDING !!! -Grill area-> cozy and large !!! In a 10 minute drive you are in the town of Omis and on the beach! At the barbecue area you could install a small door and towards the pool as well, if you have small children with you you are always behind so that nobody goes SWIMMING !!! Otherwise you can only recommend the "HÜTTE"!

We spent there two weeks of our holidays with our three kids and two friends of them. We got a very warm welcome with various goodies like cake, fruit juice, milk, wine, cheese, gammon and bread! So the first relaxing evening was ensured at the pool and the terrace with the beautiful spot! Nicolina and Mirjana offered right from the beginning that they will help if it is needed. So for questions concerning recommendation's eg trips, restaurants, activities ... they were responding immediately. The owners have also prepared some lists with helpful hints and recommendations. The house is well prepared and everything is there what you need also for cooking a tasty dinner! The rooms are well prepared and the bathrooms were for all of use quite comfortable. We really enjoyed having our meals at the terrace. The location is perfect. It's very relaxing, you don't hear any noisy things and you have a beautiful view. Cooling down after a sun bath or after a trekking / mountain bike tour at the pool was fantastic. The deck chairs are very comfortable and the sun umbrellas very helpful! We visited Split, Trogir, Krka National Park, Zadar, did three Mountain Bike Tours and a trekking tour up to Kula. So we all enjoyed it very well and get relaxed successfully!
